first, let me start with a story…

wei and i just went down to the Soho House Canouan as part of a group journey, it was incredible

it was a 3-day trip, all meals, drinks, flights and excursions were covered (all-inclusive)

on this trip, i realized it was everything that was missing from my life that i’m going to do everything i can to bring to my frens

the feeling

#ETHisland is more than just a place, it’s an idea, a belief system

we believe that things can be better, and together, we can make our own worlds incredibly better. working together, playing together, growing together

we go in strangers and come out something more

how?

our 3-day trip was a partnership between Soho House, Bacardi, Flugy and GlobalX

the price of all of this? less than 1 ETH, all in

the way we make this work, from a dollars and cents perspective, is that we partner with brands to subsidize the cost, and over time, we develop Member programming, services and merch that builds our Treasury and ensures #ETHisland will exist forever (DAO in the future)

the journey

anyone who has spent any time in an airport recently knows that commercial travel is broken. we’re basically visiting the DMV, where everyone and anyone is traveling

the MemberOne experience is different

the way you make this work from an economics perspective is to go big or go home

what that means is we charter a jet, not a private jet, but an Airbus A320 or similar

this is the model of plane that Jetblue flies, and while it’s no luxury, it’s 10X better than flying commercial

the whole plane is ours, the food, drinks and everything is curated for Members

**the hotel**

this hotel is stunning. 40 or so rooms, all right on the beachfront. the type of rooms that you can hear the ocean waves crashing at night, soothing you to sleep

we bought out the entire hotel block, getting us a group rate, again Members finding measures to save

our future trips will meet or exceed this level of attention to detail

the staff, they were phenomenal!
