From an early age, I realized that if I wanted to get what I wanted in life, I was gonna have to take it.
That’s why I got started selling on eBay while my friends were busy dicking around.
The Glory Days of eBay
eBay was pretty phenomenal for a 12 year old. You could buy NC17 music, pr0n, and probably explosives, if I wanted.
My niche was XXXXL clothing.
I saw these dresses selling for $60, that cost like $12
So I would convince my mom to take me to Walmart on final-markdown day
I graduated from XXXL clothing to Dell computers.
FatWallet would post these Dell 50% off coupon codes, and I would buy as many as I could. In those days, I didn’t even have a credit card. It was debit.
So I had to be really crafty with my cashflow.
Today’s eBay is the live-streaming movement.
Every day people, throwing up a livestream, and selling the shit that’s in their garage.
The space is about to explode, so if you’re a DTC merchant, the earlier you get in on this, the better.
